Bruce Dickinson, the renowned frontman of the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden, recently expressed his displeasure with fans who were smoking during his concert at the Opera Hall in Brasília, Brazil, on April 27.

The singer was forced to interrupt his performance due to the poor air quality in the venue, which was affecting his ability to sing.

"I can't fucking breathe," Dickinson exclaimed, as translated by UCR. He also highlighted the impact on his bandmate, Tanya O'Callaghan, the bassist, stating, "Tanya can't breathe!"

In a video footage of the incident, Dickinson can be seen pinpointing a fan in the crowd, reportedly saying, "You with the fucking vape over there. Yeah, it's not you, but, please, fucking do that outside, all right?"

The singer's frustration was palpable as he made it clear that the smoking was affecting not only him but his entire band. He reportedly said, "You know, if you can't stay for five minutes without having a fucking addiction," referring to the video posted online.

Dickinson reiterated his frustrations, stating, "I can't sing if you're gonna smoke, all right? [Tanya's] coughing her guts out, I'm coughing. My fucking wife is going, 'Bargh,' in the back there, all right?" The band paused, and all music was halted.

The singer further expressed his disgust, saying, "It's kind of disgusting, all right? But if you wanna be disgusting, do it outside, all right? Not in here. My throat's got work to do," according to UCR's translation.

Dickinson emphasized his point by making coughing sounds and stating, "You pay good money to hear me fucking sing, not go …"

Dickinson is currently on tour promoting his recently released solo album, "The Mandrake Project." His outburst at the concert underscores the challenges performers face when audience behavior affects the quality of their performance. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting the performers and fellow audience members at live events.
