This comes after Greene's motion to oust Johnson was overwhelmingly defeated in a vote of 359-43, with only 11 Republicans backing the plan.
The vote saw 163 Democrats rallying to protect Johnson, reinforcing Greene's harsh critique that Johnson is merely a puppet of the left. It's worth noting that House Democrats had pledged last month to thwart any Republican efforts to unseat the Louisiana Republican from his position as Speaker.
Trump's appeal to House Republicans came shortly after the motion's failure, cautioning that internal discord could potentially undermine the GOP's prospects in the upcoming fall elections. Despite his opposition to Johnson's removal, Trump lauded Greene, the driving force behind the campaign to unseat the incumbent Speaker.

However, he emphasized the need for unity within the Republican ranks, stating, "Right now, Republicans have to be fighting the Radical Left Democrats, and all the Damage they have done to our Country. With a Majority of One, shortly growing to three or four, we're not in a position of voting on a Motion to Vacate. At some point, we may very well be, but this is not the time.”

The former president, who is the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, expressed optimism about his standing in the polls but warned that internal conflicts could negatively impact him and other Republicans in the November elections.
Trump also praised Speaker Johnson and expressed hope for the future, provided Republicans maintain unity. He wrote, "Mike Johnson is a good man who is trying very hard. I also wish certain things were done over the last period of two months, but we will get them done, together."
The ten Republicans who sided with Greene in the motion to remove Johnson include representatives from Arizona, Missouri, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Alabama, Texas, and Indiana.
Greene and other conservatives have been at loggerheads with Johnson over his support for American taxpayers funding ongoing foreign wars, particularly in Ukraine. Johnson recently led a $95 billion foreign policy bill that authorizes an additional $61 billion in aid to Ukraine and an additional $26 billion for Israel. This hefty foreign aid package was passed with the support of Democrats.
FROM COAST TO COAST: DO YOU LIVE IN ONE OF AMERICA'S FASTEST-GROWING CITIES?
On Thursday morning, Rep. Thomas Massie expressed concern over the United States' unsustainable deficit spending. He wrote on the social media platform X, "America is on a path that won't end well. We are borrowing money at an unsustainable rate, accumulating enemies through endless war, and eroding rights like free speech & privacy. A Uniparty controls it.”
As Congress continues to allocate billions of U.S. tax dollars to foreign nations, American citizens are grappling with soaring grocery bills, escalating crime rates, and an influx of illegal immigrants in their cities.
