SivoriI suppose the reason we send our children to college is to get exposed to an "education" which discusses the world and how humanity has advanced...I suppose the reason we send our children to college is to get exposed to an "education" which discusses the world and how humanity has advanced through the ages. I believe that one of the most important subjects is History and the various accounts of our march through our existence including religion, war and politics. Professors should challenge their students to research all opinions in order to select the set of values which will work best in the their future. As a Catholic, I am disappointed in the actions of these students. My nephew, a United States Marine, graduated from Notre Dame. I am proud of his service and the fact that he graduated from such a prestigious institution.

I am sure this was premeditated and not spontaneous. It would have been better for them to have boycotted the proceedings instead of upstaging their fellow graduates. However, as an educator, I believe the education system is terribly lacking in "soft skills" training.
