Tucker Carlson SLAMS Barr Over "Mysterious" Death Of Jeffrey Epstein

In a scathing monologue on Tucker Carlson Tonight, Carlson accuses Barr of avoiding the truth and misleading the public about the circumstances surrounding Epstein's death.

Carlson states that Barr's statement that Epstein killed himself was "disingenuous and ultimately a disservice to the public" as it was not backed up by enough evidence to support the claim. He further claims that the government has done little to investigate the matter and that the investigation should be done properly in order to provide justice to the victims of Epstein's crimes.

Carlson pontificated, “Three and a half years after one of the most widely covered deaths of our time, there is still no answers, and there is still no accountability. Why is that?” Carlson asked. “Well, many reasons probably, but one of them is that Washington veteran Bill Barr, the only man in the modern era to serve as attorney general twice, declared the Epstein case closed.”

Carlson further asserts that the government's lack of investigation has created an environment of impunity in which wealthy and powerful people can get away with crimes and that Barr's statements have contributed to a "rigged playing field." Carlson concludes his piece by stating that he believes Barr's mishandling of the investigation will only lead to further distrust of the government and that "the only way to restore trust is to open the investigation up to the public."

Carlson also blamed the media, “What’s amazing in retrospect is that none of these reporters… ever thought to revisit Bill Barr’s assessment of Epstein’s death and measure it against the basic tenets of common sense. If you did that, you saw what Bill Barr said about Jeffrey Epstein was transparently absurd and very obviously dishonest,” Carlson, an honorary member of the Daily Caller News Foundation’s board, said.

“Barr began by claiming that the medical examiner that conducted Epstein’s autopsy ruled his death a suicide, but that’s not true. The initial cause of death following the autopsy was not suicide but pending, which is to say unclear.”

Carlson believes that Barr's handling of the investigation into the death of Jeffrey Epstein is inexcusable, and he calls upon the government to reopen the investigation and allow the public to view the facts.
