The Gateway Pundit reports that an Oregon man allegedly kidnaped a woman and tortured her. He is said to have beaten her so severely that she was unconscious. However, the search to capture this guy was lengthy and ultimately resulted in a multi-hour standoff that left the suspect dead.
Benjamin Obadiah Foster, 36, was on the run and was wanted by the Grants Pass Police before they finally captured him. The Grants Pass Police Department put a statement out on Facebook that detailed what happened in this situation:
“on Tuesday at 6:52 PM, Grants Pass Police Officers responded to a residence in the 2100 block of Shane Way regarding an assault. Upon arrival, officers found a female victim who had been bound and severely beaten into unconsciousness. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.”

The statement continued by saying:
“The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived but was positively identified as Benjamin Obadiah Foster, 36 years old, of Wolf Creek.”

“Foster was last known to be driving a dark blue 2008 Nissan Sentra 4-door with Oregon license 407EDX. Foster is known to be armed and should be considered extremely dangerous. Foster is wanted by the police for Kidnapping, Attempted Murder, and Assault. Anyone seeing Foster or knowing his whereabouts should immediately call 9-1-1 and reference Grants Pass case #23-3570.”

The suspect, in this case, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound during the standoff with police overnight.
CBS also reported on the situation and said the man was accused of kidnapping and torturing a young woman. He made the police conduct an hour-long standoff that ultimately resulted in Foster killing himself with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to the CBS report, the woman that Foster held captive was taken to a local hospital for her injuries. They stated that the hospital released information that stated that the victim, in this case, was in critical condition.
A law enforcement source told CBS Radio that the local police surrounded the suspect’s house. They then put enough pressure on Foster to ultimately get him to end his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Given the nature of the crimes that Foster was accused of, most won’t be upset that he is gone.
