A Russian company is offering bonuses of up to five million Roubles (approximately $72,000 in American dollars) for anyone that can destroy western-made tanks in Ukraine.

The Kremlin has already stated that it would wipe out Western tanks shipped to Ukraine for the war effort.

The combat between Russia and Ukraine is now approaching the 12-month mark. Reuters reports that the United States, Germany, and various other European countries are preparing to send dozens of war tanks to Ukraine to aid in the war effort. The purpose of doing so is to attempt to boost the war effort in Ukraine and allow that country to have the opportunity to battle back against the Russian forces.

Fores, a Urals-based firm, is a Russian company offering bounties to those who "capture or destroy" German-made Leopard 2 or U.S.-made Abrams tanks. They offer these cash payments to Russian military members who can destroy these tanks.

The company stated that it would pay five million Roubles for the first tank that any member destroyed, and it will offer 500,000 Roubles for each tank destroyed after that.

According to reports by Reuters, Fores has been using language similar to what is coming out of the Kremlin. They point out that Fores has stated that Nato will continue to pump an "unlimited" number of arms into Ukraine to assist that country with the war effort.

Fores is even offering additional bounties on other types of Western war equipment. For example, they are offered a bounty of 15 million Roubles on the destruction of any Western-made jets if they are destroyed in Ukraine.

Reuters reports that the tanks have not been deployed to the Ukrainian front yet, and it could take several months before they are delivered to the battlefront.

Since the beginning of the war, the Russian government has stated that it has destroyed hundreds of pieces of Western-made military equipment. However, Kyiv denies those claims and says the Russians have previously stated that they destroyed U.S.-made HIMARS rocket launcher pads that were never delivered to the country.

Thus, the Ukrainians feel like the statements made by the Russians about military equipment destruction are best ignored as it is likely false and more or less the propaganda of the Russian government.

The fact that Russian companies offer bounties to anyone that can destroy Western-made equipment is a troubling sign.
