Joe and Lawryn Fellwok had recently tied the knot and were on their way to San Juan, Puerto Rico for a Caribbean cruise. As the plane was about to take off from Detroit, Lawryn turned to her husband in a panic, exclaiming, "Oh, [blank]! I don't have my passport! What do we do?"
According to a Facebook post from Delta, Lawryn was inconsolable during the flight. The couple brainstormed ideas to salvage their honeymoon, but nothing seemed feasible. With time running out, Joe decided to seek assistance from Delta flight attendant Dusty Dills.

Dills came up with a plan. He informed the couple that he would be returning to Detroit after landing in San Juan. He suggested that if they could somehow get the passport to Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) by the time he landed, he would take it with him to Atlanta the next day.

Although it seemed like a long shot, the Fellwoks had no other options. They contacted Joe's sister, Jackie, who had dropped them off at the airport a few hours earlier. Jackie located the passport, met up with Dills at DTW, and took a photo with him as proof of their encounter.

True to his word, Dills carried the passport to Atlanta and found a coworker who was heading to San Juan. With the help of other Delta employees, Lawryn received her passport just an hour and a half before the cruise departure. Grateful for Dills' efforts, the couple invited him and another Delta worker to their wedding reception upon their return.

Lawryn expressed her excitement about meeting Dills and his fellow flight attendants, saying, "We have so many friends and family that have been following our story and are so excited to meet Dusty. So to just bring him and his fellow flight attendants into our community. I'm so excited. I hope we stay friends for much longer after this."

Joe also shared his gratitude, stating, "Having Dusty do all that for us really kind of instilled faith in me that there are still good people out there."
Dills, deeply moved by the experience, remarked, "This was so much larger than me. During this whole process, it really taught me so much about the importance of teamwork."
Lawryn considered the assistance they received as the greatest wedding gift, saying, "I felt like probably the luckiest bride on Earth."
