Law enforcement authorities in New York are currently on the lookout for two individuals who are accused of impersonating FBI agents and robbing a couple in Queens of their car and a substantial sum of $40,000.

According to ABC7 New York, the incident occurred on July 16 at around 7:30 a.m. The victims, a young couple, were approached by two men driving a black Porsche Cayenne. The suspects, who were dressed in smart suits and ties, claimed to be FBI agents. NBC New York reported that the men had what appeared to be firearms tucked into their waistbands.

The couple, a 25-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, had just returned home when they were confronted by the fake agents. The suspects allegedly used a Taser on the victims, bound them, and proceeded to ransack their residence. The robbers managed to steal $20,000 in cash, $20,000 worth of cryptocurrency, a Rolex watch, and several designer bags, as per NBC New York.
