In Florida, Border Patrol agents have documented 27 encounters with Chinese migrants in the current fiscal year, a significant increase compared to the 5 encounters recorded in the previous fiscal year. Similarly, agents patrolling Puerto Rico have encountered 8 Chinese migrants since October 2022, after a period of no recorded encounters since fiscal year 2020.
