Jacob Chansley, also known as the "QAnon Shaman," recently spoke exclusively to The Post, expressing his change in sentiment towards Twitter CEO Elon Musk and former President Donald Trump.

Chansley clarified that while he supports Trump for addressing issues such as human trafficking, slavery, China, and the wars in the Middle East, he does not consider himself a "Trump fanboy." He acknowledged that there were certain actions and statements made by Trump that he did not support, particularly in terms of appointments made during his first term.

Chansley, who gained notoriety for his appearance wearing a horned helmet and fur hat during the January 6, 2021 Capitol riots, pleaded guilty to obstructing a governmental proceeding. He was released from prison in March after his 41-month sentence was shortened due to good behavior.

Recently, new footage emerged showing a police officer casually walking alongside Chansley during the chaos at the Capitol, leading some to argue that his role in the riots was exaggerated. Even Elon Musk tweeted in support of Chansley, calling for his release. However, Chansley expressed disappointment in Musk, stating that despite offering to pay his legal fees, Musk never reached out to him or his lawyer after his release.

Chansley also expressed uncertainty about Musk's motives, questioning why he is involved in some areas but not others that are crucial for humanity's survival. Currently, Chansley works as an executive assistant for a filmmaker while running a shamanic consultancy. He acknowledged that some of the rioters on January 6 deserved criminal charges, particularly those who assaulted police officers or vandalized the Capitol.

Chansley regretted not doing more to quell the chaos at the time and believed that the new footage aired on Tucker Carlson's show in March should have played a significant role in his case. He filed a motion to have his conviction overturned, citing ineffective assistance of counsel and the emergence of new video evidence. However, Judge Royce Lamberth rejected his argument, calling it "meritless."

Despite these challenges, Chansley remains a supporter of the "Q" movement, a loosely-affiliated group that believes in the dissemination of forbidden truths through cryptic messages known as "drops." He believes that these messages are written by individuals with high-level security clearances who aim to free humanity from nefarious forces controlling banks, corporations, and governments.

Chansley, who identifies as a libertarian centrist, expressed frustration with how he has been portrayed in the media as a cartoonish conspiracy theorist. He argued that both Democrats and Republicans cry foul about election fraud whenever they lose, and as a centrist, he believes that America's elections have been corrupt for decades.

Despite the challenges he has faced, Chansley is not opposed to leveraging his newfound fame to spread his message of freedom. He believes that his face has become associated with the desire for freedom for many people and sees it as an opportunity to make his voice heard.
