This move comes after Musk acquired the social media platform for a whopping $44 billion last year.
On Monday, Musk took to Twitter to share a photo of the new logo projected onto Twitter's San Francisco headquarters. While the desktop version of Twitter now features the "X" logo, the bird still remains prominent on the mobile app.
Musk had previously announced his intention to change the logo through a series of tweets over the weekend. He not only unveiled the new logo but also invited users to design an alternative logo that, if deemed "good enough," would be implemented worldwide.

In one of his tweets, Musk wrote, "And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds." This suggests that the bird motif may eventually be phased out entirely.

Linda Yaccarino, the CEO of Twitter, also took to Twitter to discuss the platform's rebranding. She stated that the "X" logo represents the future of unlimited interactivity, with a focus on audio, video, messaging, payments/banking, and the creation of a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities. Yaccarino emphasized that this transformation will be powered by artificial intelligence, connecting people in ways that are just beginning to be imagined.
It is worth noting that Musk has a history of incorporating the letter "X" into his ventures. He is the CEO of SpaceX, a company at the forefront of space exploration. Additionally, Musk founded a startup called X.com in 1999, which eventually became PayPal, an online financial services company. The x.com web domain now redirects users to Twitter.com.

In typical Musk fashion, he also shared some updates regarding Twitter's account limits. Initially, he stated that verified accounts were limited to reading 6,000 posts per day, while unverified accounts were limited to 600.

However, a couple of hours later, he tweeted that the rate limits would soon increase to 8,000 for verified accounts, 800 for unverified accounts, and 400 for new unverified accounts. Less than an hour later, Musk sent another tweet, further increasing the limits to 10,000 for verified accounts, 1,000 for unverified accounts, and 500 for new unverified users.
