Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has claimed that he is facing an unprecedented level of attack from the mainstream media, surpassing even the scrutiny faced by former President Trump.

In an interview with Fox Business's Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures," Kennedy expressed his surprise at the intensity of the criticism directed towards him. He stated, "I've been really, you know, slammed in a way that I think is unprecedented even more than President Trump was slammed by the mainstream, by the corporate media."

Kennedy also pointed to a recent Harris Harvard poll, which he referred to as the "gold standard poll," showing that his popularity among the American people is higher than any other political candidate by a margin of 20 points.

Despite the negative press coverage, Kennedy's unfavorability ratings have not reflected the media's portrayal of him. He remarked, "If I believe the stuff that's written about me in the papers and reported about me on the mainstream sites, I would not have any, I would definitely not vote for me and… I would think I was a very despicable person." This suggests that the American people are not solely relying on mainstream media narratives but are instead forming their own opinions based on Kennedy's message.

Kennedy has faced significant scrutiny from mainstream media outlets due to his opposition to government censorship and his call for more transparency and testing in the vaccine authorization process. He was accused of antisemitism after making a comment about the development of bioweapons by countries such as the U.S. and China, and how there was an "argument" that COVID may have been "ethnically targeted."

Kennedy clarified his statement, stating that he was not suggesting a conspiracy theory but rather expressing concern about the billions of dollars being spent on the development of ethnic bioweapons by powerful governments worldwide. He cited a 2021 paper by the Cleveland Clinic, which highlighted the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on certain races due to genetic factors.

Despite the media attacks, Kennedy's polling numbers have remained steady since the launch of his 2024 presidential campaign. Recent Fox News polling indicates that he commands 16% of the Democratic primary vote. Additionally, a Quinnipiac poll revealed that nearly half of U.S. voters would consider a third-party candidate, although Kennedy has emphasized his intention to run as a Democrat.
