"When he went to the Army to fight for America, America should fight for him, fight for him to come home," said Myron Gates, King's uncle, in an interview with the network.
The family has also been in contact with the parents of Otto Warmbier, a University of Virginia student who tragically died in 2017 after falling into a yearlong coma due to brain damage suffered while in North Korean custody.
