The Hill reported that one of the new charges relates to a presentation Trump allegedly showed to a book publisher and writer during a meeting in July 2021, which prosecutors described as concerning "military activity in a foreign country."

In addition to the federal charges under the Espionage Act, Trump is also facing a potential indictment from the DOJ over the Capitol riot on January 6. He is also facing 31 counts of felony charges for falsification of business documents in New York. Furthermore, Fulton County in Georgia is reportedly preparing to charge Trump for his actions following the 2020 election, during which he sought recounts and pursued lawsuits to challenge the election results in key battleground states.
