A shocking incident of violence unfolded on a bustling street in Midtown Manhattan, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

Afzal Butt, a 60-year-old New York City taxi driver, fell victim to a vicious beating at the hands of thugs on July 19. Disturbing footage captured the assault, revealing three women and two men relentlessly pummeling the defenseless elderly man with shoes and bare fists.

While the search for three suspects continues, The New York Post informs us that two suspects were issued desk-appearance tickets by the police and subsequently released. This development has left Butt seething with anger towards the "bail reform" system, which allowed two of his attackers to walk free. In his own words, Butt expressed his frustration, stating, "If they're not going to put them behind bars, this is a horrible system... I am hopeless and helpless with this system."

Butt, who immigrated to the United States from Pakistan and has been driving a taxi since 2004, further criticized the lenient bail-reform laws in New York. He described the system as "horrible" and expressed his despair at the state of the city, stating, "Send the mayor the video and tell him die with the shame."

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the escalating crime rates in New York City and the consequences of a flawed criminal justice system. As Butt's harrowing experience highlights, the leniency afforded to perpetrators can leave victims feeling hopeless and vulnerable. The need for a comprehensive review of the bail-reform laws and a reevaluation of the measures in place to protect the safety and well-being of citizens has become increasingly urgent.
