Country musician Craig Morgan, known for hits like "That's What I Love About Sunday" and "Almost Home," has once again sworn in to the U.S. Army Reserve at the age of 59.

The ceremony took place on Saturday at the Grand Ole Opry in front of a sold-out audience.

Morgan, who previously served 17 years in the Army and Army Reserve with the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions, expressed his excitement about serving his country once again. "I love being an artist, but I consider it a true privilege and honor to work with what I believe are the greatest of Americans, my fellow soldiers," he said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "God Bless America. Go Army."

With his reenlistment, Morgan will hold the rank of Staff Sergeant and Warrant Officer. General Andrew Poppas, who officiated the ceremony, expressed his confidence in Morgan's abilities. "Every Soldier who enters the Army has the opportunity to become the best version of themselves, and Staff Sgt. Morgan is no exception," he said. "I look forward to seeing what he accomplishes and how he impacts other Soldiers around the Army."

Despite his military career, Morgan had initially viewed music as nothing more than a hobby. However, he later realized that he could pursue it as a profession. During his time in the service, Morgan wrote and performed songs for his fellow soldiers, earning him awards and recognition. One of his senior officers even encouraged him to pursue his musical talent.

In addition to his military service and music career, Morgan has also worked with the USO and has received the Army's Outstanding Civilian Service Medal and the USO Merit Award.

Morgan's dedication to serving his country and his fellow soldiers is unwavering. He continues to tour and release music while fulfilling his duties in the Army Reserve. As he shared on the day of the ceremony, "Once a soldier, always a soldier. I love our country."
