D.C. Based Security Robot Bids Farewell to Miserable Job By Drownng Itself in Fountain

Written by  Complex

One of the Knightscope K5 security robots used to monitor the shopping and office complex at Georgetown Waterfront, which sits along the Washington Harbour in D.C., was spotted on Monday lying in a public fountain.

After spending the weekend presumingly relaxing and recharging its batteries after another hard work week, it appears the poor robot had a bad case of the Mondays, and just could not take its security job anymore.

People completely understood where the security robot was coming from.

It's ok security robot. It's a stressful job, we've all been there. pic.twitter.com/LQbnntbCRm

Poor Marvin, sometimes life as a security robot is just too tough. https://t.co/0avBQv98l6

The sight of the Knightscope K5 lying on its side in the fountain also led some people to deliver a less morbid take on the uncommon visual.

It's a fun day here at @gmmb. The super high-tech security robot at our office complex has had a mishap.
