Sadilek was able to attend the July 27 premiere at the ArcLight in Hollywood but was rushed to the hospital the next day.
"He had a wonderful night and was so inspired to see the film come to life and talk to the cast and crew that he had worked with," his family said in a statement.
Sadilek also was a line producer on The Experiment (2010), starring Adrien Brody; Crazy Eyes (2012), starring Lukas Haas; Cabin Fever 3: Patient Zero (2014); and Unleashed, directed by Finn Taylor and out this month.
Sadilek also wrote and directed the short films Castro's Day in Los Angeles (2001), The Summer House (2003) and The Box (2007).
Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on March 13, 1969, Sadilek attended Linn Mar High School in Marion, Iowa and then the University of Iowa, graduating with a degree in geography. He launched his own city planning company in Denver before changing careers, eventually coming to Los Angeles for film school.Read more at HollywoodReporter
