“Jersey Boys” tells the story behind Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, a Garden State group famous for tight harmonies — and for less than tuneful doings off-stage. The musical features the chart-topping songs “Oh What a Night,” “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.”
The Broadway production opened on Nov. 6, 2005 and went on to win the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical — and run for more than 4,000 performances before closing earlier this year on Jan. 15. It stands as the 12th longest-running show in Broadway history. Clint Eastwood made a movie version in 2014 in which John Lloyd Young reprised his Tony-winning performance as Frankie Valli.
Casting and dates for previews and the official opening at New World Stage will be announced later.Read more at NYDailyNews
