Bruce Springsteen, Amy Schumer, SpongeBob are Broadway fall stars

Written by  JOE DZIEMIANOWICZ

While fall foliage turns vibrant, Bruce Springsteen gets personal, Amy Schumer gets comical and SpongeBob SquarePants gets musical. That’s just a taste of what’s waiting in the wings on and off Broadway.

“Time and the Conways”

(in previews, opens Oct. 10 at the American Airlines Theatre)

“Downton Abbey” alum Elizabeth McGovern leads this revival of J.B. Priestley’s post World War I-era drama.

“Springsteen on Broadway”

(previews begin Oct. 3; opens Oct. 12 at the Walter Kerr Theatre)

The Boss’ solo acoustic performance — guitar, piano, stories — is the hottest (and most impossible) ticket in town.

“M. Butterfly”

(previews begin Oct. 7; opens Oct. 26 at the Cort Theatre)

Clive Owen stars and Julie Taymor (“The Lion King”) directs this revival of David Henry Hwang’s gender-upending drama.

“Junk”

(previews begin Oct. 5; opens Nov. 2 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater)

“Disgraced” Pulitzer-winning playwright Ayad Akhtar takes on ‘80s Wall Street movers, shakers and breakers. Any resemblance to Michael Milken is intentional.

“The Band’s Visit”

(previews begin Oct. 7; opens Nov. 9 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre)

An Egyptian police band mistakenly ends up in an Israeli town in the middle of nowhere in David Yazbek and Itamar Moses’ sublime musical adaptation of a 2007 movie.
