Chris Noth Boards Discovery's Unabomber Drama 'Manifesto'

Written by

Chris Noth has found his next TV role.

The Good Wife grad has joined Discovery's upcoming Unabomber drama, Manifesto, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Additionally, Oscar-nominated actress Keisha Castle-Hughes has signed on for the project.

Produced by Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti's Trigger Street and Lionsgate Television, the eight-episode series tells the story of how the FBI captured Ted Kaczynski (Paul Bettany), one of the most infamous criminal masterminds in the world.

Noth will play Don Ackerman, the Bay Area Divisional Head of the FBI who supervised the Unabomber Task Force. After wrapping his Golden Globe-nominated role on The Good Wife in May, Noth joined the third season of FX's Tyrant as a regular. However, the series was canceled in September. Noth, whose other credits include Sex and the City and Law & Order, is repped by Gersh and Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management.

Castle-Hughes will portray Tabby, a street agent who partners with FBI agent Jim "Fitz" Fitzgerald (Sam Worthington), one of the most decorated profilers in the history of the bureau, whose radical approach to intelligence gathering ultimately took down Ted Kaczynski.

In addition to her ongoing role on Game of Thrones, Castle-Hughes was most recently a series regular on Showtime's one-and-done Cameron Crowe drama Roadies.
