Gingrich calls on GOP to ‘abolish’ Trump-Russia probe
Conservative News
by Leading

Gingrich must really be worried about what's under the rug, if he's willing to go this far out on a limb, knowing what a danger/potential disaster this would be to every Republican running for the House or Senate in 2018. Apparently, he hasn't learned anything from the amount of damage already done to Trump for trying to kill the investigation. And here we go again with the "leaked" memos false allegation. Despite the fact that as a former Congressional leader Gingrich has to know the term "leaked" only applies to confidential info and none of the Comey info was confidential. I can picture the Democrats cheering Gingrich on.

Private conversations between the President and the Director of the FBI aren't confidential?! Sheesh.

Besides being subject to Nondisclosure Agreements, Comey falls under federal laws governing the disclosure of classified and nonclassified information. Assuming that the memos were not classified (though it seems odd that it would not be classified even on the confidential level), there is 18 U.S.C. § 641 which makes it a crime to steal, sell, or convey “any record, voucher, money, or thing of value of the United States or of any department or agency thereof.”
Comey has a history of rewriting law to his own interests, though.
Talk about intent and he is an atty himself, he clearly created these memos for future litigation potential.

Karen Jones. The experts agree that the information Comey disclosed was not confidential, which is why nothing he said qualified as "leaks." And you can be sure, if anything he said was confidential, Trump would have ordered Sessions to open an investigation and the former reality show star would have announced it with great fanfare. You sound like you're unhappy that the public now knows the president tried to kill an investigation in which the president was a target. Is there anything this president could do that would offend you, short of shooting someone in broad daylight on Fifth Avenue?
