How so ? How can you say that with a straight face ? The protest is over retaining the emblem of the old south it attracted the KKK racist of all kinds. It's good that people stand up against these misfits there is no longer a place in America for their kind, their time is over
Your pc opinions matter not. Educate yourself to history! You haven't a clue in regards to the sacrifices made during the civil war? If you did you would already know the average confederate foot soldier had no stake in slavery! They fought for their land and their families. It was the rich democrat slave owners that wanted to keep their cheap labor slaves! Much like the rich elites today want to import cheap labor and undermine the American worker! And as far as monuments and flags depicting confederate generals and the like? They should remain as a historical reminder of a troubled period in our history where many sacrifices where made on both sides. Not just a narrow minded PC opinion of slavery! There is and never will be some made up leftist myth of utopia. History should remain and be remembered for the good and the bad!
It isn't about the KKK, it's about a historical symbol of the Old South, and people have a right to their opinion on that symbol. No one is encouraging KKK standards here. The PC Police are not part of the argument here. The KKK are not part of the argument either. It's about our Country and it's history, and that Flag means a lot to many countrymen. The South depended upon Cotton as their main staple, and the so called emancipation of slaves really didn't do much for the Black Community, since indentured servants were just as good as slaves, with very low pay.
A Flag isn't the problem. It's stupid people that are the problem, and you can't stop people from acting stupid.
They distort history and rewrite it to fit their agenda and ideology. They look upon the south with their narrow minded lenses of history. Focusing only on the plight of slaves while overlooking the average soldiers mindset as he lay there on a blood soaked battlefield. And I dare say it wasn't slavery he was thinking about?
