That was true when written but since May, when Trump's approval has dropped from 50% to about 36%, Breitbart has bit the dust, falling hard.

And Fox, while slipping, has not fallen like a turd lie Breitbart.

First, the competition: " CNN was a top 10 basic cable network this past week. It finished as the No. 8 network in weekday prime, and No. 8 in total day, 6 a.m. – 6 a.m. It also defeated MSNBC in total day among adults 25-54 for a whopping 37th consecutive month.

Year to date, 2017 is on pace to be CNN’s best year on record in total day viewers, and its best year in the total day demo since 2003 during the Iraq War." Not bad for "fake news."

"Fox News in July posted its lowest monthly share of the Total Day cable news audience among total viewers in six years." Fox virtually tied with MSNBC in daytime and night viewers.

"TheBlaze reported earlier in July:

At the end of May, spurred by a string of unfavorable news stories about President Donald Trump, the left-leaning MSNBC surpassed CNN and Fox News in the key 25-54 demographic during primetime for the first time since September 2000, and Rachel Maddow appeared to have solidified her position as the top cable-news host in the wake of Bill O’Reilly’s departure from Fox News. Since then, Fox News has steadily recovered and is now dominating in the key demo, including against Maddow.
However, now, MSNBC and Maddow are the clear leaders in cable news.

Going back to the week of July 10-July 14, Maddow led each of Fox News’ top three shows: “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” “Hannity,” and “The Five."

Not long ago, Fox dominated cable news; today it is fighting to survive as advertisers desert them:

Trump's campaign against fake news, focused on CNN and NYTimes, has backfired.

"Donald Trump’s war against the media has been good for business at the “failing” New York Times.
The publication, which the US president has mocked on Twitter, as “dishonest” and “fake news,” just posted record subscriber growth on its digital-news platform.
During the last three months of 2016, the Times added 276,000 net digital-only subscribers for its news product, which includes access to NYTimes.com and all NYTimes apps, the company announced (pdf) today. That’s more than the 184,000 net subscribers who signed up for the news organization’s digital editions in the whole of 2015, past earnings releases showed. It also marks the best quarter the New York Times’ digital publication

Ah, sweet revenge.........................................
