Trump Will Keep Obama’s Dreamer Policy

Written by  Mary Chastain

The policy aimed at protecting undocumented immigrants who came here as small children

President Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security will not touch former President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which allows undocumented immigrants, who came to the U.S.

as small children, to remain in America. From The New York Times:

The Department of Homeland Security announced late Thursday night that it would continue the Obama-era program intended to protect those immigrants from deportation and provide them work permits so they can find legal employment.

A fact sheet posted on the department’s website says immigrants enrolled in the 2012 program, known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, “will continue to be eligible” to renew every two years and notes that “no work permits will be terminated prior to their current expiration dates.”

Immigration activists have welcomed this decision:

“This is a big victory for Dreamers amid months of draconian and meanspirited immigration enforcement policy,” said David Leopold, an immigration lawyer. “The preservation of DACA is a tribute to the strength of the Dreamer movement and an acknowledgment — at least in part — by the Department of Homeland Security that it should not be targeting undocumented immigrants who have strong ties to their communities and have abided by the law.

NO TO THAT.... It';s as stupid as sending American children to live off the Mexican taxpayer.. Put 30 of them in any 1 school and then demanding everyone slow down because 'we can't speak 'mexican'"... And then... Calling then 'dreamers'..
This is obviously designed by the open borders,, alinsky, leftist crowd to 'destroy America's DREAMERS"

This is really getting confusing - DACA stays; DAPA goes

Hopefully, the Trump administration will vet these DACA people, unlike the Obama administration did. During the original DACA recruitment people were NOT vetted. If the DACA applicant said they were eligible they were considered eligible and accepted. Many of the DACA people were recruited in jails and prisons and they were actively recruited. As a result of the sloppiness and ignoring of laws As a result many of the DACA recruits were criminals and had no intention of following the rules.

Trump's administration can and will do a much better job that Oshthed's people did.

And does this mean that from now on those sneaking into OUR country will get the same deal? It's time to realize that sneaking into America and then expecting to be able to stay and be "citizens" will not be tolerated. America is for Americans not for anyone who manages to come illegally.
