Delta fires back at Ann Coulter after angry tweetstorm

Written by  Chris Perez

Delta Airlines has fired back at Ann Coulter — revealing on Twitter how her two-day temper tantrum was over a measly $30.

“We’re sorry you did not receive the preferred seat you paid for and will refund your $30,” the company tweeted on Sunday night.

“Additionally, your insults about our other customers and employees are unacceptable and unnecessary,” it said, in response to Coulter’s weekend-long Twitter rant.

The conservative columnist spent the better part of Saturday and Sunday calling out Delta and a random female passenger after the airline gave the woman the “extra-room” seat that she had booked.

At 6-feet-tall, Coulter had shelled out a few more dollars for the “Comfort+” digs — which come with 3 additional inches of legroom. But it was unclear exactly how much she paid, until now.

Social media users were quick to call her out on Sunday night for making such a big stink about it.

“Ann Coulter was tripping over $30. Wow!” tweeted one person.

“Lmao Delta peeled 30 bucks off of their cash roll and dropped it on the floor in front of Coulter and told her to STFU,” another said.

Coulter, being the avid tweeter that she is, spotted Delta’s response and fired a few more of her own.

“STILL WAITING FOR AN EXPLANATION FROM THE BRILLIANT, TALENTED, HARDWORKING STAFF AT,” she wrote. “No one would think that 28 hours (& counting) for an explanation is due to @Delta’s incompetence. @Delta employees MUCH too talented!”

Delta's policy is to treat their customers like POS and expect to stay in business!! It is better to just Drive or Boat to where you need to go!!

What proof has DELTA to prove its point ? I mean proof ! It is not question of money but principles ! If Delta is a Hillary contributor, what do they know about principles ? I stand with Ann, a conservative person, point !

The way paying customers are treated by the airlines and TSA in this country is a crime. I personally would rather drive cross country than fly with any of the airlines these days.

I spent all day this past Friday stuck in the Detroit Airport because Delta management is incredibly incompetent. I will never fly Delta again.

So glad she did this! After all, this is probably happening to thousands of other innocent passengers on a daily basis..
Ann Coulter is performing a public service by informing future flyers about the manner in which they can be
expected to be treated by Delta Airlines' very fake customer service.

Liberalism is a mental disorder. It is for sure that Delta's hierarchy is Liberal.

When someone pays for something they should get what they paid for and it doesn't matter if the difference is $30 or $3000 or even $3. The point of paying more is to receive the difference in the original and that should always be honored, it is after all a legal contract. The airline gave no reason for the change and Coulter has every right to make a big deal out of it, it's her money and her seat.

Absolutely wright good for you to feel that way
Do not fly Delta till the person who answered that GETS FIRED
YOU FIRED! Remember who said that?
You fired I love it
I live in Italy he sounds like an Italian business executive no balls no brains
Fire him now!

"delta" still in the process of destroying the airline industry. If you have not figured out that is not about the $30.00 yet, I really think you guys deserve to go down in shame. These mis-treatments are becoming extremely frequent.

Well, it was her $30 and why does an airline come off thinking that they can just take it and not give what she paid for? These airline people need some PR training.

It's not the $30---But she did contract for a seat with more leg room. Compare if you pay extra for a theater seat close to stage because of hearing or eyesight and it's given to someone else WITHOUT any EXPLANATION? After the show, you get "thrown" a bone in the way of rebate. Irrelevant---you "missed" the show! Didn't get what you contracted for----GO ANN!!!
