Levin: The Media Are an Appendage of the Government

Written by  Michael Morris

On his nationally syndicated radio talk show Friday, host Mark Levin chastised the media, saying that they have become “an appendage of the government.”

“You need to remember something about most of the media,” stated Mark Levin.

“Most of the media are an appendage to the government. What do they mostly report about? Government. Good government. Big government. Spending. Congress. Presidency. The courts. But for this massive government, where would the media be? They wouldn’t have sources. They wouldn’t have leaks. They wouldn’t have their headlines. They wouldn’t have anything.”

Below is a transcript of Levin's remarks from his show Friday:

“This is like a cartoon. It’s like a cartoon. ‘Hey, I think he committed treason. That’s treason. And not only that, the son in law, Jared Kushner, let’s drag his wife in, Ivanka. What does she know and when does she know? Yeah, yeah.’

“Ladies and gentlemen, if this doesn’t scare you, this kind of phony hysteria that they’re trying to create – that the media are trying create, that this drumbeat can be created around nothing – and then they have pseudo-conservatives joining in, well, it ought to concern you.

“We have a special counsel, a special prosecutor roaming the countryside, who hired 14 liberal Democrats or so.
