BOTH Of These Flags Need To Go Away NOW

Brian Thomas reports white nationalists of Unite the Right bearing torches clashed violently with counter-protesters at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, causing the city to declare a state of emergency Saturday morning.

The state of Virginia said that the gathering was an “unlawful assembly” and ordered hundreds of Unite the Right rally-goers and counter-protesters to “disperse immediately.”

Fox News is reporting that at least one person has been killed after a car plowed into the crowd.

One video captures a police officer with a megaphone announcing “If you do not disperse immediately you will be arrested.”

Many white nationalists carried torches and Confederate flags and several fights broke out in the crowd.

According to a statement by the University of Virginia, several university community members were injured.

The Associated Press authorities are at the scene after a car plowed into marching demonstrators, killing one:

An Associated Press reporter saw at least one person on the ground receiving medical treatment immediately afterward the incident. It occurred approximately two hours after violent clashes between white nationalists and counter-protesters.

The nationalists were holding the rally to protest plans by the city of Charlottesville to remove a statue of Confederate Gen.
