The death toll now stands at four, including an assailant, and twenty wounded.
Terrorism has struck within a stone's throw of London's Parliament building today as a vehicle mowed down pedestrians on London's Westminster Bridge, leaving more than a dozen "catastrophically" injured, and a knife-wielding attacker stabbed a police officer on the grounds outside Parliament. The latter assailant (it's unclear yet if he is the same as the driver), described as in his 30s or 40s and carrying a seven- to eight-inch knife, was shot dead.
Fox News reports that Parliament went into lockdown and up to three officers have been injured. Scotland Yard Commander BJ Harrington told reporters he "cannot confirm numbers or the nature of these injuries."
"We received a number of different reports which included a person in the river, a car in collision with pedestrians, and a man armed with a knife," he added.
He said a full counter-terrorism investigation is underway. There was no immediate claim of responsibility and it was not clear how many attackers were involved.Read more at TruthRevolt
