The legislation would prioritize preventive healthcare over elective abortion by placing a one year moratorium on all federal funding for Planned Parenthood, including its affiliates and associated clinics, until such time as Planned Parenthood certifies that it will not perform elective abortions or give funding to entities that do.
Instead, Black notes, the money usually funneled to the abortion giant would be redirected to the country’s 13,500 community health centers.
Social media users ignored this latter point, excoriating Black for introducing the legislation that would supposedly roll back women’s rights. Other liberal media reporters predicted the end of the female sex as we know it.
Women will die because of you, @RepDianeBlack, congrats on your ridiculously short-sighted and petty victory.

Women are going to die because of legislation like this. If you’re in a position to donate to PP, do so now. https://t.co/Bsj5qOz0Rw
