House Publishes $1 Trillion, 1,665-Page Proposed Budget — 400 Pages Longer Than Average Bible

Written by  Penny Starr

The House Rules Committee published its proposed $1 trillion budget at 12:47 a.m. on Monday, a massive 1,665-page plan that is 400 pages longer than the average bible.

Not only are many of President Donald Trump’s budget priorities missing from the plan, but since 2009 Republicans have promised a 72-hour “read the bill” window to allow Americans to see legislation before it is voted on — a biblical task for a bill that could as early as Wednesday face an up or down vote.

The “Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2017″ will fund the federal government through the end of September, another kick-the-can down-the-road budget that does not pay for a wall on the U.S. southern border but does fund Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider.

The budget does include an increase in military spending ($12.5 billion) and border security ($1.5 billion), although the latter prohibits any spending on security except for technological advances and repairs to existing infrastructure, unnamed congressional aides told the Washington Post.

But while the military spending and border security represent what Trump and Republicans wanted, the Democrats, who are now the minority in both the Senate and House, got what they wanted, including $295 million to fund Puerto Rico’s Medicaid program and $100 million funding for opioid addiction.

First thing we need is the names of the RINO repubs who sponcered this bill as well as who made it up. This should be published all over so we wont vote to return them to congress ever again. Cleaning out the Repub side of congress should be priority 1 but we must also have a hard core Vetting system for those running for Congress. Rule 2 is no more Lawyers as thare take over has resulted in todays Congress SNSFU.

Any Congressman who votes on the budget (or any proposal) should be required to read the entire document and then pass a test to make sure they understand it.
Or just have the party that passes a bill be required to have taxpayers registered in that party to pay for it.

Every person would be much wiser with wisdom, discernment and direction if they read the bible instead of tax rules. www.GodAuthoredbible.com

How long must we wait for a true conservative people's party?? It's quite clear the Republican Party of today is not what we expect nor want!! Their lies and excuses are now on full display!! If a new party cannot be formed? Then convention of states must be instituted!! We now have a rogue government operating for their own interests! Not the people's!!

The Republicans are FKN cowards, Dems got everything and we continue to spend and help foreigners get work. As far as I am concerned voting republicans into both houses is a failure. No support for Trump from these losers. Dump all of them running in 2018!! Fed up with this crap.

We are sick of the Republicans (Rinos) helping the Dems spend money on things we DO NOT want. Planned Parenthood etc.; we want to STOP spending money that we do not have. Balance the budget.

I think the Republicans need to use a better vetting program when they back people who say they are Republicans but are really Democrats running as Republicans. They need to expose their voting records and put them out ASAP.

Time for President Donald J. Trump to Veto this spending bill and just let the Government Shut down. Defund these Sanctuary cities . We cannot afford a One Trillion dollar spending spree.

Republicans, Democrats?? I'm not sure one can tell the difference. Once they get their "Visa" to Washington, DC through our votes they seem to act as though they are in a different country. There must be a sign on Routes 95, 295, 395 and 495 that is only visible to elected officials and their appointees as they cross the Beltway into D.C:
"Forget Where You Came From and Leave Any Common Sense Here" . On the back side of that sign it says: Leaving D.C.?You Are Now Entering Indian Country, Beware of American Citizens".
