ABC Cancels Tim Allen’s Highly Rated TV Show 2 Months After He Called Out Hysterical Anti-Trump Left

Written by  Paul Joseph Watson

ABC has canceled Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing sitcom despite good ratings, leaving some to wonder whether the show was canned because of Allen’s conservative politics.

Allen made headlines back in March when he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to remark on how conservatives have to keep quiet about any kind of pro-Trump leanings.

“I’m not kidding. You gotta be real careful around here. You get beat up if you don’t believe what everybody believes,” said Allen.

“This is like ‘30s Germany,” he joked. “I don’t know what happened. If you’re not part of the group, ‘You know what we believe is right,’ I go, ‘Well, I might have a problem with that.’”

This followed comments by Allen during an appearance on Megyn Kelly’s show shortly after the election in which he called out leftist intolerance.

“What I find odd in Hollywood is that they didn’t like Trump because he was a bully, but if you had any kind of inkling that you were for Trump you got bullied for doing that,” said Allen.

Now the comedian’s Last Man Standing sitcom is set to be cancelled by ABC, who cite disagreements over the series’ license fee as the reason.

According to Deadline Hollywood, the show “was considered the perfect sitcom for the Trump era, hitting ratings highs in its sixth season.

Of course they did! They can''t have any pro-President Trump people on their network! It would undermine their credibility as a pro-Liberal, pro-anything goes network!

Well what do you expect from a network owned by Disney that champions homosexuality, perversion, intolerance of any views but theirs and trumpeting how vile and racist this country is. Hopefully Tim's show will be picked up by Hulu or Netflix or some cable network.

well ABC cancel a good show because of his politics -- of course they didnt fit the control freaks of network who loves to have trash on -- Tim Allen has a brain and knows he has a right to speak his mind -- but ABC--Absolute bitchy company would rather trash this country and pat the assholes on the back-- good thing I dont watch anything of the crap they put out--

Its really terrible that the media, including the network TV is so left leaning as to cut off their noses to spite their faces. I am really sick and tired of the left media (an all of the networks out side of FOX are obsessive liberal) trying to dictate what the American people should watch, or how they should think. There is no restraint in broadcasting anymore. Its mostly tired old jokes (rehash of old earlier programs or remakes). There is no creative or independent thought anymore. And the old fogies that run these networks have long passed their prime, creativity, or usefulness. They are now stagnant, and need new blood with independent thought. It really shines the spotlight on a debased ABC when they cancel a highly rated show like Tim Allen, who is one of the outstanding comics of our time, in the mold of Lucy, Carol Burnett, Tim Conway, and a few other really funny people. Most of the comics today are boring and wouldn't it be really funny to watch one of the modern shows without a laugh track? ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN need to be scrapped and reinvented as networks that present their shows without the obvious biases they possess. On occasion, there are shows that poke fun at politics, but these are overt and intended to do so, but today, too many of the shows push the levels of decency, and promote ideas of crime, murder, and civil disobedience. It has become commonplace, and as our country sinks into the depths of depravity, we, as a people sink with it much in the vane of Rome, Athens and Persia of old. Such a shame that the networks no longer have a moral censor.

I agree 100% I hope conservative thinkers who are being fired, even by FOX, will get together and start their own network. We need somewhere to get unbiased news. For now FOX is pretty good but they seem to be leaning more and more to the left and now with Shine gone I fear it will be even more so.

Well, well, well One of the aAmerican PROVDA networks is at it again! Hey Tim! LAWSUIT, freedom of speech!!!!

When they tie in Obama's involvement, which the Russian investigations could easily do, will silence and kill the so called Democrats, actually socialist/Communist. Bye Bye!

Now the FCC is in Conservative hands what we see on TV will change. The left in power prevents more Conservative shows. They are not American at all but European Socialist wannabes.
I'll start watching a show and bam foul language, sex scene etc. Ruins it for me.

This might be for the best. ABC has become far too liberal to be considered non-biased. Hopefully another network will pick up this gem of a show and realize that 50% of the American public like Tim Allen and really liked the show. HE DID NOTHING WRONG!!!

Are we surprised? Hell no! Last Man Standing was one the very few bright lights in ABC's entire viewing lineup. You've darkened yourself at my house. Shame on you, ABC!

I have heard Liberal TV comments that are simply uneducated-ugly-hate speech. Guess we must learn to live by the rule "if a Democrat does it, then it's OK"

Allie you are right - BOYCOTT ABC and anyone who advertises on that network. Don't stop with ABC though - I loved watching the Big Bang Theory reruns on TBS but had to quit - every time a commercial came up they had the hypocrite Samantha Bee running her mouth. If this is the type of trash that major networks endorse we have no choice but to quit watching them - ball games and all - when they see their numbers crashing especially at the bank - they will get the message.

For all of the left wing loons who think Samantha Bee is funny - laugh at this

They'll get the message, Mike, but will they care? It seems that political philosophy "trumps" even viewership ratings for these unhappy little Marxists.

The only way is the Liberal Way. None other will be entertained. Only a few men and women in Hollywood that go against the tide. His talent speaks for itself unlike Colbert and his like. I am happy I have cable so I can pick through the garbage.
Another bull story. There are shows that actors are paid a Million or so an episode. What happens there. Is that not in the overhead to produce.

Larry, thumbs up!

This is not surprising that they would cancel his show because of his conservative views and then give some bullshit reason of licensing fees. ABC has taken a page from Josef Goebbels play book back in Nazi Germany and utilized it here.

Story shows lack of understanding of TV business or of Allen's show. For the past three years, Allen's show was in tough negotiations with ABC because the show is produced solely by 20th Century Fox, not by ABC Studios (either all or part). As a result, the show is more expensive to produce for ABC than for other shows. This time, ABC figured six years was enough because the show was becoming too expensive. This had nothing to do with Allen's comments. Nice try, but there is no conspiracy here. Dollars, pure and simple.

If it were "dollars" pure and simple the show would go on as it generates dollars and a profit. If you are saying the show does not return enough profit as a percent and the network wants to move to something more profitable, I get it but just dollars the show goes on. The recent upswing in viewers boosts advertisement revenue based on audience share so the "dollars" AND profit go up and the owners of the show know that and ask for more $$$. So the ask price of the show goes up and reduces the profit AND the network doesn't agree with the stars political viewpoints so drop the show. That is a fair and honest assessment.

That's not even close to the truth but "nice try" trying to spin this as being anything but anti Trump. It's laughable how every time one of you bleeding heart JO liberals gets smacked with the truth about something the left is totally against (this time Tim Allen's pro Trump stance), you claim "there is no conspiracy here". It's so hypocritical and obvious bias against the opposing views.
