Donald Trump Threatens to Cancel Press Briefings

Written by  Charlie Spiering

President Donald Trump floated the idea of canceling the White House press briefings, expressing his frustration with the media for jumping on contradicting information from both himself and his press staff.

“As a very active President with lots of things happening, it is not possible for my surrogates to stand at podium with perfect accuracy!” Trump exclaimedon Twitter. “Maybe the best thing to do would be to cancel all future ‘press briefings’ and hand out written responses for the sake of accuracy???”

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer is scheduled to take the press podium today, after Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Sanders briefed reporters in the wake of the president’s decision to fire FBI director James Comey.

Trump appeared frustrated with the news narrative on Friday morning, after days of Democratic fueled hysteria surrounding his decision.

“The Fake Media is working overtime today!” he wrote, reminding his followers that the obsession with Russia was a story “fabricated by Dems as an excuse for losing the election.”

In the light of the fact that most of America does not believe the lame-stream-media maybe it would serve them right to be kept in the dark for awhile. They make up the news anyway.

Can't say I blame him. The FCC should rate them for honesty in reporting with a warning...if they get a failing grade in the future their broadcast license will be temporarily pulled. They will be fined and have to apologize and print a correction before being allowed to broadcast.

Keep them up. Counter lies and ignore personal attacks. This administration is much more accessible to the press than Mr. Transparency O'Barry Hussein was.

They may as well discontinue daily briefings. Trump has no coherent plans as well as no coherent way to explain his lack of continuity. Sadly Spicer et al, can't make something out of nothing

Why feed the dogs when you know they will bite you every chance they get?

The mainstream press has proven their self's to be mere propagandist's, they put out negative lies every week and sometimes every day...they are now to the point of NOT even retracting the lies...dump them and only allow professional journalist's into the briefings...period!

This is what I say to Trump! Tweet all you want my president, and shut down the media they have been bought and sold. How about sueing for there false and inaccurate news reports. He would be a billionaire just by doing this.

It just seems there is no fair and balanced at these Meetings. All the dorks are trying to spin everything negative and are nasty while doing it. Just for once I would like to see a little give and take and not so cut throat. Negative Fake News only hurts the Country and makes us look bad. I agree Liberal Media should be left out. They are not professional enough to do the job that is expected. I rather read the Enquirer or the Star as there are shreds of truth and gossip. How the Media has fallen from greatness of the past. Hard to respect the crew out there today.
