This move comes amidst a growing rapport between the blue-collar union and the GOP, marked by a significant donation pledge made in February.
Historically, the Teamsters union has been a significant contributor to Democratic campaigns. However, Senator Hawley has been actively aligning himself with the union, joining them on picket lines and also associating with the United Auto Workers, according to Axios.
Financial reports from the first quarter reveal that Hawley's campaign has raised a total of $2.56 million as April commenced, with approximately $5.5 million in cash reserves for the reelection effort.
While the Democratic Party has been the primary beneficiary of Teamsters' donations, former President Trump has been making efforts to sway their support towards the GOP. In January, Trump met with Teamsters Union President Sean O'Brien.

The GOP, under Trump's leadership, has been making significant strides in gaining the support of working-class voters, with union leaders being a crucial part of this strategy. Trump has been vocal in his support for autoworkers in recent rallies across the upper Midwest and Rust Belt states.
Additionally, truck drivers nationwide have been mobilized to block shipments to New York City in protest against a court ruling unfavorable to Trump in February.
