In a recent development, Liz Cheney, the former Wyoming Republican congresswoman, took a jab at Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, using a video from Taylor Swift's concert in London.

Cheney, known for her criticism of Trump, used the footage to highlight the contrast between the crowd sizes at Swift's concert and Trump's political rallies. Trump has often bragged about his ability to attract large crowds to his campaign events, but recent reports suggest that the former President has been struggling to fill venues.

According to Newsweek, Cheney shared a video of Swift's sold-out show in London on X (formerly Twitter), with a caption that read, "Thank you@taylorswift13 for giving us a million reasons to smile. PS @realDonaldTrump this is what a sold out crowd actually looks like." The video featured Swift performing "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" with her boyfriend Travis Kelce at Wembley Stadium, with a massive crowd in attendance.

Trump's ability to draw crowds came under scrutiny over the weekend when he held a rally at Temple University's Liacouras Center in Pennsylvania, a key swing state in the upcoming election. The venue, which can accommodate 10,000 people, had a significant number of empty seats, leading to mockery online.

Cheney, who once supported Trump, distanced herself from him following the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol. Critics, including Cheney, have attributed the violent protest by Trump's supporters to his unfounded claims of election fraud. Despite the criticism, Trump insists that he did nothing wrong.

Cheney was among the 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump after the Capitol riot. In 2022, Trump campaigned for Cheney's primary opponent, Harriet Hageman, who defeated Cheney and subsequently won the general election in the staunchly Republican state.

Cheney has been a vocal critic of the former president since her defeat. She has vowed never to vote for Trump again, although she has not revealed whether she plans to vote for President Joe Biden in the upcoming election.

Meanwhile, pop star Taylor Swift has been tight-lipped about her voting intentions for the 2024 election. During the 2020 campaign, Swift endorsed Biden, a move that Trump questioned during a meeting with House Republicans on June 13. According to CNN, Trump asked, "Why would she endorse this dope?" and added, "He doesn't know how to get off a stage."

In an interview with a magazine in October 2020, Swift expressed her support for Biden, stating that she believed the U.S. had a chance to "start the healing process it so desperately needs" under his leadership. She emphasized the need for a president who acknowledges and respects the rights of people of color, women, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Swift's call for a government that prioritizes global health risks and puts the lives of its people first resonates with the current global scenario. The only way to improve the situation, she suggested, is to elect leaders willing to confront these issues and find solutions.
