Despite the mother's desperate attempts to halt the thief, clinging onto the car door and pleading with him about her child in the back, the man callously continued to drive, dragging the mother along. The mother recounted the horrifying ordeal to the media, stating, “Out of nowhere this guy came inside the car and I grabbed on to the car and I was telling him ‘my baby my baby!’”

The dashcam footage later revealed the suspect stopping the vehicle, removing the car seat with the child, and placing it on the sidewalk before driving off again. Another video clip appears to show the suspect abandoning the vehicle. The authorities are currently on a manhunt for the suspect.

Broward Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Miranda Grossman expressed relief that the child was unharmed and praised the good Samaritans who witnessed the incident and offered their assistance. She told reporters, “Thankfully, thankfully the baby was okay in this situation and there were good Samaritans that were there and saw this happen and helped out.
