In a shocking turn of events, an Ohio county jail mistakenly released a man facing an aggravated murder charge earlier this week, according to The Associated Press.

The blunder, attributed to a clerical error, has led to a manhunt for the accused, Amarion Sanders, 22, of Cleveland.

Sanders, who was being held at the Cuyahoga County Jail on a bail amount of $1 million, was inadvertently freed on Monday. The mishap occurred when charges were dropped against another defendant in an unrelated case, and due to an incorrect entry, Sanders' court case number was erroneously used. "A warrant was issued Tuesday for Amarion Sanders," the authorities confirmed, highlighting the urgency of the situation.

Sanders was scheduled to stand trial on August 19, facing severe charges of aggravated murder. The charges stem from a shooting incident that occurred in Cleveland in September 2023, to which Sanders has consistently pleaded not guilty.
